Autotile is the physical result of a collaboration between Aarhus School of Architecture (First year 2011/2012 + Digital Experimentation) and Egernsund Tegl.
The students were through the assignment introduced to parametric design and the use of cellular automata – a matematic principle for selforganizing systems.
In the video above, the students has documented the building process through video and time-lapse. The soundtrack is developed together with René Middelhede, student at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus.
The A3-sheets below is the result of an individual assignment, were students with a given techinque and individual focuses represented the work.
