Design investigations in information Modeling
The workshop documented in these pages covers an investigation into relational information modeling, undertaken by Digital Experimentation in collaboration with 2nd Year of the Bachelor Programme at Aarhus School of Architecture. The workshop took place from 16th to 20th of January, 2012.
The focus of the workshop was a revisiting of the concepts of Building Information Modeling, focusing on the direct integration of cost, material usage and fabrication drawings within the parametric model. The developed models facilitated instrumental investigations of the architectural light and spatial conditions of the exhibition space, while negotiating within the boundaries of material and resource limitations.
