S:M:A:S:H / SYSTEMIC MODELING OF ARCHITECTURAL SPACE AND HYPERMODAL STRUCTURES

S.M.A.S.H.
Systemic Modeling of Architectural Spaces and Hypermodal structures.
The S.M.A.S.H-course focused on the fabrication of threedimensional structures and models developed in the preceding semester work. The course elaborated on the fabrication of multimodal, representational environments, as well as introducing practical tools and methods for digital fabrication. Participants were tasked to further develop their semester study work within an investigative frame of physical modeling, focusing on a spatial enquiry of their work through interaction of material properties, fabrication logics and representational requirements.

C:R:A:S:H – Computer-Reactive Autonomous Systems and Hypermodal representation
The exhibition is the result of a 2-day workshop examining the role of semi-autonomous, 4-dimensional systems using scripts in Grasshopper and Kangaroo in relation to analytical investigations of architectural works of OMA.
The exhibition opens today at 15.30 in the foyer of the Exhibition building.
13. STUDIO CONSTRUCTING AN ARCHIVE – AUTUMN 2011

For the current term assignment: ”Tegningskabinettet” (the drawing cabinet), Studio Constructing an Archive has been using archives, collections and the town of Viborg as objects of study for their work. Based on surveys, analyses and stagings of the town, representations of this location and its hidden potential have been created.
Teaching has focused on investigations of the characteristics of different forms of representation based on drawing experiments.
